You said Complexity?

Imagine a very complex world full of uncertainty as well as of opportunities. In this world, if people are told that they are very simple to understand, that can be reduced to a box, that they don't evolve because "they are what they are for ever", what happens? This situation puts people in a "double bind". On the one hand, they are aware of having to tackle with complexity and on the other hand, they are implicitly told they are not complex and not able to face this new world. However this is often the situation people are confronted with when they are debriefed of their "personal assessment" or "psychological test". Someone – the-one-who-knows - explains to the one-who-does-not-know how he or she is! The one-who-knows does not even give any explanation about how or on which criteria the test is built! The results of the test do not authorize the person to deeply understand what she or he can do with that It is only intellectual.

For us the world sould not to be like that. When the environment becomes complex – multipolar, slightly controllable or predictable – we, as Experts in Human Sciences, have to showing how complex Man is.
